Farms and agricultural plants

There a several farms worth seeing in our immediate vicinity. Go for a jaunt to times past. Here are some suggestions: 

 

The ‘Riepenburger Mühle’ is the greatest and oldest remaining flour mill in Hamburg. Today, the mill serves as a didactic mill for historic milling in the ‘Vierlande’ region.

‘Hof Eggers’ is a listed, well preserved typical ‘Vierlande’ farm that has been engaged in organic farming since 1992.

The ‘Rieck Haus’, the core part of the ‘Vierlande Open-Air Museum’ is almost 500 years old. It was restored in 1949 and became a branch of the ‘Altona Museum’ in 1954.
