At km 598.5 of the Elbe.

Gardens, meadows, fields and greenhouses still form the scenic character of the region situated behind the long dykes of the "Vier- und Marschlande" landscape south-east of Hamburg. This extensive area is not only important for supplies but also for recreation. Beautiful lanes invite you to go for excursions by bike, boat, inline skates or by foot. Swimming is possible in one of the bathing waters, and the majestic Elbe is omnipresent.

The Zollenspieker Fährhaus is located right next to apple harvest and dyke romance, at km 598.5 of the River Elbe. From the 13th to the 19th century, this was the toll and ferry place from where landlords watched over their sovereignty. In fact, the former ferryboat exists still today. The ferry pier is right in front of the Zollenspieker Fährhaus inviting tourists for a boat trip. Whether on the boat or from one of the nice view ponts within or around our house: The particular location at the most southern point of Hamburg offers a stunning view of the river banks and the stream.
